Green Beans

We gave Rebecca green beans last night for the first time, and she seemed to love them!  The first picture below is right after her first bite and I know, she doesn't seem very happy.  But...after a couple of bites, she was kicking her legs and shaking with excitement.  If we took even a second too long to get the next spoonful into her mouth, she would start to cry!  Hopefully this is the beginning of her loving vegetables!

In other news, we just finished my first week back at work.  Tough.  Extremely tough.  Lots of tears.  Every day.  But we got through it.  I was trying to explain the feeling to Mike - the feeling of leaving my baby.  It's almost physical.  I don't mean to sound dramatic, but it's the only way I can even begin to describe it - it's like my heart actually hurts.  Physically hurts.  Luckily, we did get through it.  Mike did a great job taking care of her!  He texted pictures every day and we talked on the phone a couple of times so Rebecca could hear my voice.  Mike said she got all excited and smiley when she heard my voice.  He could totally be lying about that, but boy, did it make me feel better!
