Shoe Shopping (and other adventures)!

As I mentioned in my last post, after the family pictures were taken last week, we went to Stride Rite for Rebecca's first pair of shoes.  We got a cute pair and she's doing great walking in them.  I've taken her outside walking a few times, and she loves it!  Here are some pictures.

This is back at Stride Rite.  You can't see it in this pic, but she has a sample shoe in her hand and she's leaving the store.  This is not the first time she's attempted to shoplift.  Hopefully she's not preparing for a life of crime!

We've experience some other milestones this week too:

We went to her 1 year doc appointment on Wednesday, and we can introduce cow's milk now.  This is the last container of formula.  Yay!

 

We went to Chinese food, and Rebecca got a fortune cookie.  Here is her first fortune.  Not sure where she's going, but hopefully she'll take us with her!

 

On Labor Day, we thought it would be fun to take her to this water area near the library.  It's got all these little bubblers coming out of the ground for the kids to run in.  We put on her little bathing suit, some sun screen and headed off.  She wasn't really feelin' it.  I think the sound of the water hitting the ground scared her.  She cried and then when I picked her up, she had a death grip on my clothes so I didn't put her down.  Maybe we'll try again later.

One last pic because it makes me laugh.  She picked up the Sparkletts bottle the other day (empty obviously), and made this crazy face like it was really heavy.  It made me think...maybe I can take her to the circus and she can make millions being the Strong Baby!  What do you think?
