Dogs, Dirt and Music

Rebecca and I went on one of our outings to the park a few days ago.  She's become pretty interested in dogs and this nice owner stopped and let Rebecca meet Cocoa.  As soon as the dog got close, she got a huge smile on her face and then when the man assured me the dog was sweet, I decided to let Rebecca pet the dog.  She reached right out and pet her and kept on smiling.  It was so cute.

After we met Cocoa, Rebecca decided to dig in the dirt.  On all of our walks, the dirtiest thing she usually does is pick up leaves, but she has discovered how fun it is to run her hands through the dirt.  Right after this picture was taken, she took that handful of dirt and dumped it right on her shoe - there was dirt all over her feet when I got her shoes off.  Lovely.

And now I hope you can all see this video.  She's been getting in to the pots and pans cupboard lately.  Normally, I wouldn't care except that she's been taking out one of the huge pots and swinging it around.  I'm sure it will break her toe if she drops it.  So, the other day, I traded her one of the lids for the pot (so she wouldn't have a fit), and then gave her a spoon.  Then we see the budding musician in her early stages.  And if that doesn't work out, as you'll see, she'll just eat the lid!
