2 Years Old!

Rebecca turned 2 years old on Friday!  So hard to believe that she's such a big girl now.  We celebrated on Friday with a pancake breakfast (with sprinkles)...and by having her professional picture taken (will do another post in a few days with those pictures).

Here are some pictures of pancakes:

Her ice cream theme party took place on Saturday.  It was just family and my friend Laurie.  Very low key.  I bought all the food pre-made (except the cupcakes).  You could consider that laziness or genius!  I'll choose to consider it genius.

She got wonderful gifts from everyone.  At least a ton of clothes from grandma and grandpa, and a little kid sized table, which she is loving.  She got a bike from us and she's enjoying that so far too.  She got lots of other cute toys, clothes and books.  Thanks to everyone for your generosity!

To go along with the ice cream theme, I had the boyfriend of a friend at work make an ice cream cone with a cutout for our faces.  Here are the pictures of everyone at the party!

And finally, here are pictures of our girl with her cupcake.  She seemed to really enjoy the attention when everyone was singing to her:

A very happy birthday to our beautiful girl.  She continues to amaze us with her smarts, her beauty, her strength, her never ending energy, her sense of humor and her ability to learn.  We love her so much.  It is amazing that we have this girl in our lives.  I tell her all the time what a lucky mommy I am to get to have her as my little girl.  I mean that.  Truly.  Yes, she tries my patience on a daily basis.  And yes, she is exhausting, but I've never known joy like I know in those moments between her and me and Mike.  It is incredible.  I love her so much.  I can't wait to see what this year has in store for all of us!!
