Headless Peeps - An Easter Tale

Interesting title for this post, right?  Well, let me tell you a little story:

We headed to my Uncle Paul and Aunt Kathy's house for Easter.  Kathy dipped the bottom part of some yellow peeps in chocolate and had one at each place setting.  I let Rebecca have hers after she ate lunch and this is wear we get the title of the post.

Like most kids, Rebecca went straight for the peep's head and ate it off.  Then she started crying because that peep didn't have a head.  So my dad gave his peep to Rebecca and she did the same thing - ate the head right off.  And again, she cried because the peep didn't have a head!  And a third time, Mike gave his peep to her and she ate the head off. Each time she asked for a new one because hers didn't have a head!  After this third one, she really lost it...like hysterical crying.  I mean, she's sitting there staring at her plate with three headless Peep carcasses!  When I asked her why she was crying, she looked at them and said "Because they lost their heads"!!

Here is the carnage:

So, aside from that, Easter was fun.  We did the traditional egg hunt and she got a nice basket.  Here are some pics of that:

The Easter Bunny included some very cute Hello Kitty panties in Rebecca's basket!
Minnie Mouse jammies!
Egg hunt!!  She was so funny because she was tip-toeing all over the grass because it was wet!
The golden egg!
She looks a little like a crazed lunatic...but really this is the best picture we could get of her standing still with her basket.
She did NOT want to wear this outfit.  She cried and complained about it for a while!
Her favorite thing to do at Aunty Kathy's...play the organ!
The day after Easter, we got to transplant a little chia pet type plant we got her.  She had SO much fun (and so did I):

Playing with daddy after the hard planting work was done!

Three headless peep carcasses. That is the saddest Easter tale ever! But kind of hilarious.
