The Man

We went to a birthday party yesterday for one of Rebecca's classmates. It was a superhero theme.  Captain America came to the party to train the kids to become superheroes.  Rebecca was leery of the guy at first and didn't want to take any pictures with him.  But, after several games and lots of fun, this is the exchange that happened:

Me:  What's your favorite part been so far?
Rebecca:  Guess!
Me:  The Obstacle course?
Rebecca:  Nope
Me:  The Tug of War?
Rebecca: Nope
Me:  The fighting?
Rebecca: Nope
Me:  OK, I can't guess, what's your favorite part so far?
Rebecca:  The man!!

OK - she's FOUR!! Isn't this a little early?  She had a crush on Captain America!  Cute.

Here's a pic of her with her new love:

Here are some pics from the rest of the party:

Also, last night we had her open a couple of her Christmas presents because the boxes were kind of large.  She LOVES playing school right now.  Pretty much every day at some point, Mike and I are her students.  She makes us do table work, practice reading, do activities, etc.  I think she really just likes being the boss.

Here she is with her new presents:

The first one is a Let's Play School kit.  It's so cute and folds up so she can carry it around.

Next, we got an easel.  She has been teaching me my letters and numbers all morning!

Finally, another funny story from yesterday:

We were just playing in the morning and outside, some kid was making a lot of noise and screaming.  Here's the conversation that followed...and these are direct quotes.

Rebecca:  I'm TIRED of little kid's voices!!!
Me:  YOU are a little kid!
Rebecca:  I'm not tired of MY voice, I'm tired of other people's voices!

Well, with the nonstop talking she does, I must admit I a little tired of little kid's voices too!
