Halloween in Review

Here's a recap of our Halloween:

We went to the pumpkin patch and had a pony ride too!

As a comparison, here's me on a pony at around the same age!

It's been a tradition since Mike and I were dating for me to make some Halloween food.  This year - a pizza dough spider with a back full of dipping sauce.  We got to rip off his legs and dip them!

Here she is in her costume on Halloween night.  She's Cleo de Nile from a show called Monster High.

Post Trick-or-Tread candy inspection

The night after Halloween, she got to pick a piece from her bucket.  Mike and I were cleaning up after dinner and we walk in to the living room to this.  Perfectly sorted and categorized candy (she gets that from me...the organizational skills AND the love of candy!

A couple of funny stories:

#1 - As some of you know, Rebecca is VERY in to My Little Pony these days.  A few nights ago, I went into the bathroom and there was a huge wet spot on the bath mat.  Nobody had been in there to shower or anything, so it was weird.  I asked Rebecca if she peed on the floor.  She denied it.  After some prodding she admitted she peed on the floor.  Mike asked her why she did that when the toilet was right there.  She said, "because I'm a pony.  I peed on the ground like a pony."  Delightful.

#2 - I bought a new car this weekend.  One of the salespeople was a young, charming guy named Brandon.  We did some of the leg work while Rebecca was still in school, but had to sign all the final stuff with her there.  Side note - she was a trooper.  We ended up being there for almost 3 hours and she did fine.  Anyway, part of why she did fine was because she got Brandon to play games with her and watch videos with her, etc.  At one point, he was walking around getting paperwork and arranging things and she was watching him like a hawk!  Then later, we were in the bathroom and she told me that Brandon "is my favorite guy".  I asked her why he was her favorite guy.  She replied, "because he said I was cute and he's nice and funny".  First crush maybe?

Other than that, she's doing great.  She has gotten in to a super annoying whining phase, but we're trying to work on it.  She reading like crazy right now and spelling words from memory.  It's pretty amazing!
