I'll Be Your Best Friend

Do you remember, in elementary school, using the phrase "I'll be your best friend", after asking someone to do something for you?  I remember using it often.  Looking back, it's kind of funny...so manipulative!

Well, the other day, I found myself using it on my daughter.  She had a particularly rough, sleepless day (which, of course, means I had a particularly rough day).  She was obviously tired but refused to fall asleep all afternoon.  At one point, out of desparation, I said to her, "Please go to sleep - I'll be your best friend!"  Let's just say, she didn't respond!!

Here's a picture of her right after I begged her to fall asleep:

I wonder if the reason she doesn't seem to sleep during the day is because I'm doing something wrong.  If anyone has any tips - please post a comment!  I need help!

Here's a bonus picture, just because it was so cute!
