Do you remember, in elementary school, using the phrase "I'll be your best friend", after asking someone to do something for you? I remember using it often. Looking back, it's kind of funny...so manipulative!
Well, the other day, I found myself using it on my daughter. She had a particularly rough, sleepless day (which, of course, means I had a particularly rough day). She was obviously tired but refused to fall asleep all afternoon. At one point, out of desparation, I said to her, "Please go to sleep - I'll be your best friend!" Let's just say, she didn't respond!!

I wonder if the reason she doesn't seem to sleep during the day is because I'm doing something wrong. If anyone has any tips - please post a comment! I need help!
