Monkey Wrestling & Inchworms

Rebecca has become quite interested in playing with (and eating) her stuffed animals.  She had a very lively wrestling session with this awesome monkey from Grandma and Grandpa.

Ready for Attack (the look on her face just cracked me up...like she's going in for the kill!

Who, me?  I'm innocent...I'm not hurting any monkeys!:

And here, we find out that she has a monkey on her back, literally!

And last but not least, one of her other new tricks that we call "inchworming".   Lately, when laying on her back, she arches her back and tilts her head to see what's behind her.  I think she figured out that little by little, if she does it over and over again, it can propel her backwards.  The other night, I woke up to her crying at 12:30, which is not unusual.  It's usually a time when we just give her the pacifier and she's good for another couple of hours.  I went in to give it to her and she was all the way at one end of the crib, her head butted up against the crib and her hands reached behind her grabbing on to the slats.  I think she was crying not because she hurt her head, but because she was mad she couldn't go any further.  To illustrate, we put her in the crib at this end:

and she winds up at this end:

She has done this a few times now, which was cute at first, but not so much in the middle of the night.  She definitely wants to be on the move...just a matter of time!
