Quack Quack!

Last week I took Rebecca to this really awesome park by our house.  It has a play island right in the middle of it that's like an old New England town.  It has bridges and cannons and little houses.  Then there's a mote all the way around it with ducks and turtles.  It was the first time I took her there - I was curious to see if she'd have any reaction to the ducks.  I brought some bread with us to see.  Now, those of you that know me know that I am afraid of birds.  Really afraid.  So, know that this was a sacrifice on my part to try to attract birds towards me on purpose.  A mother's love!!

Here she is just hangin' out at the park

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this mommy duck with all her little babies!

She was VERY excited about the bag of bread!

Here she is seeing the ducks up close for the first time.  She did seem pretty interested in them.

In other news - this girl is on the move!  She can't sit still for more than two seconds - even when she's falling asleep.  She is scooting around all over the place - mostly pulling herself by her arms and pushing with her toes - but not quite crawling - almost though!  The other day, Mike and I were in the kitchen for about 10 seconds, and we could hear her coming - she found her way under her high chair and then was fascinated by the side of the laundry basket:

Here she is playing with one of daddy's birthday balloons!
