Toilet Paper Bandit and Other Happenings

I suppose all kids find toilet paper fun.  I mean, here is this continuous roll of paper that spins around and you can just pull and pull and pull and it never stops!  Rebecca definitely has that fascination, but I do my best to keep her from getting her hands on it.  A few days ago, however, we had just finished brushing her teeth and I was taking my makeup off and after just a few seconds, I look over and she is in the middle of the bathroom twirling around in circles with the toilet paper twisting on to her!  I said "no" and then she took off down the hall with the toilet paper trailing around her neck like a scarf.

A couple of weekends ago, we went with my parents to visit Rebecca's great Auntie and Uncle.  She had a fantastic time at their house playing with pillows, coasters, windchimes and scooping a few leaves out of the pool with a net.  Here are a few pics:

In my last post, I mentioned some of Rebecca's great loves of the moment.  Here are a few more:

Books - this girl LOVES to read, to be read to, to stack books and sort books and look at books.  She LOVES the library.  I am so grateful!  Here's a pic of her at the library:

Stickers - oh man, does she love stickers.  She plays with them every day.  So far, we've been lucky (knock on wood) that she listents to the "only on paper" rule...well, with this exception:

Treasure Hunting - I talked about this in a previous post too, but she really enjoys being outside looking for rocks, leaves, anything else lying on the street that interests her.  I took her out several days ago when it was just starting to rain.  She was fascinated.  Notice she has her bucket to hold all her treasures.

Music - This is another thing I'm so glad she loves (like I do).  I have the Pandora app on my phone and ipad and she knows how to turn it on and get to the kids music station.  She just listens, and then starts dancing around like crazy.  We take my phone outside in the afternoons when we play and I turn the music on.  She'll just dance on the lawn, the sidewalk - wherever.  She also enjoys making her own music...here she is with some spoons and a plastic bin...drumming, of course!

And here are a few random shots, just because they're cute!
This is at her Gymboree class.

This is a self portrait she took with the ipad and the Photo Booth app that puts all kinds of crazy effects on the pictures.

And here we are - piggy back ride...fun...but I am WAY too old to carry 25 lbs. on my shoulders like that!!  But it made for some cute pictures!
