For the Love of WHO??

We have been laughing a lot about some funny things Rebecca has been saying lately.  Here's an example:

When I was getting her dressed a few days ago, she was so wiggly and I was getting frustrated.  I said "Stop wiggling for the love of Pete"!!  Rebecca chimed back with "I'm not Pete, I'm Rebecca".  Good one.

Another one from a couple of weeks ago was more sweet than funny.  She came outside with me very early on a Saturday morning to do laundry.  It was still dark out and she saw the moon.  (Side note:  she is fascinated with the moon right now).  Anyway, she was commenting about the moon and the she said somehting like "I want to be a bird" and then I said "well, where would you go if you were a bird?"  She said "I would fly up in the sky and give the moon a big hug"!  How cute!!

Now, let's get to some pictures.
This was a few nights ago...Rebecca helping me with dinner.  She actually did help stir some things, but while I was at the stove, I gave her a pot of water, the salt shaker and a few measuring spoons.  She had a blast.  Oh yeah...why is she just wearing panties?  Well, we're working on potty training so she did want to wear her Minnie Mouse panties, but did NOT want to put her pants back on...so cooking in her underwear it was!
One of her favorite things to do - sandbox at the park!
Yes, I know it's February...and I know some of you are experiencing snow and cold and normal winter weather.  We are not.  It was in the 80s last week, so here's our girl all ready for a bike ride!   She put the shades on herself!
We took her for her first haircut a few weeks ago.  I found one of those kids places with the cute chairs and they could watch videos and stuff while they got their hair cut.  Pretty cute.  She didn't seem to mind this strange woman touching her hair at first, but then, as you can see from one of the pics below, she gets pretty upset.  It was over quickly though and she did just fine!

Rebecca stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days last week so Mike and I could have a little mini vacation for our anniversary.  It sounds like she was a model citizen for them (phew) and they all had a good time!
Helping Grandpa put the flags out for President's Day

Picnic on the porch
Grandma and Rebecca next to a newborn calf.  My mom and dad's neighbor does some work with the dairies up near their house and he always gets the kids in to see cows.  Apparently Rebecca was a little afraid, but she talks about it now like it was fun.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for taking care of our girl!

Love this post. I really love seeing pics of your mom and dad. Such great people! I can't believe your potty training. I'm still not brave enough to tackle that yet.
