Rebecca is 4 months old today! She had her checkup yesterday and did great once again. She weighs 12 lbs. 14 oz. and is growing appropriately. In the last week or two, she has really gotten interested in her toes and is constantly lifting up her legs to grab them. This is also facilitating a certain type of rolling over which she is also enjoying. She is talking up a storm and is very loud. She even woke up my mom one day when we were up there for Christmas. She is a pro at picking up toys and is really working on trying to figure out how to manipulate them to get them into her mouth! She still isn't doing great at sleeping, but we're keeping our fingers crossed. The doctor said we can try feeding her some cereal any time, so we will probably give it a shot this weekend - there will be video!!
Mike and I have been reflecting on how grown up she's getting. It's hard for us to see it since we're with her every day, but when we go back and look at pictures, we definitely notice. There are some pics with newborn sized onesies that were big on her when she first came home from the hospital and she has long since outgrown those and is in to 3-6 month sizes now. There are pictures of her in the bath that practically swallows her up and now she spills over it. We are so lucky to be her parents. She is beautiful and sweet and we love all the exciting developments that are happening now and look forward to so much more to come!
Here is her 4 month picture:
Here's a different shot of her outfit too - isn't it cute? My mom has commented multiple times how back in her day, they would never have even thought of putting black on a baby. Everything was pastel with rosebuds or bunnies - not cute stuff like they have now,.
Here's another super cute outfit that Santa brought:
And lastly, another very cute outfit from Grandma. These pictures were taken after we got home from the doctor yesterday. Getting shots wears a girl out!!
