Sleeping and Spoons

Last night, I got my first full night of sleep in 4 months!!!!!!!  Unfortunately, it wasn't because Rebecca chose to sleep through the night, it was because Mike offered to do the night feeding!  It was glorious!  I went to bed at 8 and woke up at around 5:30.  Sadly, my body is now conditioned to wake up at about 2 am, so I did wake up and have to get myself back to sleep, but the fact that I didn't have to get up and be up for about an hour was magical.  One of these days, maybe we can get this little girl to sleep longer!  Thank you, honey, for letting me sleep!!

Last night was also a big milestone for Rebecca.  She ate cereal from a spoon for the first time.  It went better than I expected.  I figured she'd gag on the first bite and we'd be done.  The doctor told us that it will be up to her if she's ready.  If she gagged or refused it - wait a couple of weeks and try again.  But, she actually seemed to be eating some of it and kept opening her mouth for more.  This really shouldn't surprise me, I AM her mother after all!!
