Christmas Preview

The first Christmas Mike & I spent together in 2008, we started a tradition.  Mostly out of necessity (because we were flying to Texas to visit my brother's family), we opened our presents and did a big Christmas dinner the week before Christmas.  We have continued that on from year to year even if we didn't need to.  We also started a tradition of decorating a gingerbread house or something similar every year.  We will probably have to stop the present opening in the next year or two, but here are some pictures from this year's festivities, including Rebecca's participation!

OK, so I had this idea...I wanted to have Rebecca make 1 cookie for Santa.  I thought it would be so adorable to put frosting on her hand and then make a handprint on the cookie.  Well...it didn't quite work out as planned, and both of us had to change our clothes!

Rebecca's big present from mommy and daddy (an exersaucer).  We had to open it before Christmas because it was way too big to take up to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Might as well get in a little tummy time while we're opening presents!
