Busy Girl!

Rebecca is proving to be a VERY busy little girl.  She is on the go all the time, and rarely walks anywhere - she is usually running.  Here are a few random pictures from the last couple of weeks that are good illustrations of some of her favorite activities.

Blocks!
She got these blocks from my cousin Julie for her birthday.  She plays with them all the time – sometimes stacks them, chews on them and enjoys throwing them around.  Lately though, she’s really become more interested in actually building stuff.  In this picture she did almost all of this by herself.  I built a square base a couple of blocks high and she did the rest.  She was very meticulous about choosing all the blocks of a certain size and then moving on to another size.  So cute!

Here she is at Gymboree.  She really seems to be enjoying that more and more too.  She is interacting with other kids and generally runs around like she owns the place.  She has learned to climb a ladder-like structure in just a couple of weeks which amazes me.  The last two weeks focused on some musical instruments which she was thrilled about!  Anything that makes noise is high on her list!

Speaking of climbing, she is becoming a master!  I think she will be able to pull herself up onto the couch (and subsequently have some falls, I'm sure) very soon.  The other day I took her to the park and she walked up to these steps - used the handrails and just walked up them like she'd been doing it her whole life!  So big!!!
Here she is at the park again - just having fun!
