Dirt, Dolls and Other Happenings

Two posts in a row!  I had a lot of catching up to do.  I'm trying to use this blog not only as a way to share pictures and stories with all of you, but I'm also using it as Rebecca's baby book!  A way to record her developments and what she's doing at different stages.

So, here are a few more things.

I mentioned before how she loves being outside and loves collecting leaves and sticks and things on our walks.  Well, when she goes outside now, she generally doesn't walk around too much.  She finds a place where there's dirt to dig in or mulch to sort through and she stays right there.  I take her to the park and she might play on the equipment for five minutes, but then she finds some dirt and it's all over.  Here are some pictures of that:
Collecting sticks
You can see a bunch of dirt around her feet - this is mulch from the tree beds that she carries over to another spot and sprinkles it all over the ground.
This is just out on one of our walks.  Near the mailbox in our neighborhood, there are these large rocks.  She loves going to visit them and often hugs them!
She hasn't been too in to dolls before, but in the past week or so, we've noticed her really trying to take care of her baby.  She puts her on a blanket or will get drips of water out of her sippy cup and pour it into her dolls mouth.  The other night, she was playing with these plastic veggies that she has and she started feeding them to her baby.  Then she lined them all up on her tummy to feed her.  Isn't that cute?  I couldn't get her to sit still long enough to get her in the picture, but here's what she was doing:

She's definitely been more in to imitating us lately.  Helping with chores, doing what we do, etc.  Here are a few examples:
You might not be able to tell, but she has my slippers on in this picture and she can actually walk in them pretty well.  She loves putting our shoes on!
Here she is wearing one of Daddy's old shirts.  She was "helping" me fold the laundry at the time!
And last but not least, here are just a couple of cute pics.  It's VERY difficult for us to get any decent pictures of her - she refuses to be still.  Or if she is still, she won't look at the camera.  So, she better not come crying to me when she gets older and wonders why all her childhood pictures are of the back of her head, or are blurry because she's moving all the time!
This one's not too bad.  I was trying to take a pic of her in this cute outfit.  She's actually dancing in the picture, because I started singing to try and get her to look up.
Again, I was trying to just get a simple picture of her here, and she wasn't having it.  She started crying!
This might LOOK like she's snuggling me, but really she's giving me the evil and eye because she doesn't want to have her picture taken!

Oh my gosh!!! I haven't read your blog in so long! I can't believe how big Rebecca is getting! She is so adorable. The last picture does look like she is cuddling with you! So cute! Now I have to go and read your other updates. Good thing I'm trying to kill some time instead of preparing my lesson for seminary in the morning. :)
