Another fun thing she just started doing is mimicking spelling her name. Grandma and Grandpa made her these letters of her name before she was even born, and they are hanging in her room. Lately she's been looking at them a lot and I spell them out for her: R-E-B-E-C-C-A kind of in a sing-songy way while pointing to each letter. Then, she starts pointing to each letter and making sounds like she's spelling the letters...OOO-AH-UH-OOH-AH-AH-OOH. See, she can already spell...genius!
For Valentine's Day, I made a heart-themed dinner for Rebecca and Mike. It was heart shaped meatloaf, freakishly pink heart shaped mashed potatoes, and a salad with hearts of palm and artichoke hearts! Here are some pics:
And last but not least - a couple of pictures from our outdoor adventures. I took Rebecca outside to play kind of early the other morning when the grass was still a bit dewey. I was showing her how we were making footprints and the difference between hers and mine. I thought it made a cute picture. And the last pic is of her in the sandbox at the park the other day. She got filthy, but she had SO much fun!!
