Vacation!

A couple of weeks ago, Mike and I went on a little vacation to Vegas.  It's our first time away together since our 1st anniversary (and our 3rd is this week)!  While we were there, we took a hike in Red Rock Canyon just to have some peaceful time out in nature.  It was really fun...even if I got us on to the wrong trail and we wound up on a "difficult" one.  Oopsie!  We survived!

Thanks to my mom and dad for taking care of Rebecca!  You are amazing grandparents and we love you!  Here are some pics from our hike:

 

 

I know, most of you do not read this blog to see pictures of me and Mike!  Here's an update on our girl:

• We have been seriously working on talking.  She's still not doing much.  I'm pretty sure her first, official, word was "yum yum yum".  Yes, she is totally my daughter!  She has also been saying dada pretty regularly and mama occasionally.  We also really worked hard this past week and she is now saying dog (sounds like dah)...but she knows what it means, and will see a picture of a dog or one out walking and she says the word.  Yay!  
• She is really working hard on climbing.  I think we are in for some crazy times and lots of boo boos!
• She is able to reach door knobs now, and knows the right motion to turn them, just can't quite get the strength.  We'll have to buy those annoying door knob covers soon!
• She loves being outside and loves playing with any stick, leaf, dirt or rock she can get her hands on!
