A Crack In The Door

We are finally having some success with napping.  Yay!  It's been 5 naps in a row, over 3 days where we've put her down in her crib and she eventually falls asleep (and without much crying).  I'm not sure if that's enough to call it a good pattern, but we're considering it a success at this point.

I find myself peeking in at her quite often through a tiny crack in her door - to see if she's actually asleep or just waiting to wail.  Here's my view:

If you look closely, you can see her lying there in the crib.  Asleep.  In the middle of the day.  HOORAY!!!!

And might I add the following:  CURSES to all of the landscapers and workmen that come in to our neighborhood!  The landscapers are here at least 3 times a week - mow one day, edge one day, blow leaves on a 3rd day.  And they love to park right in front of Rebecca's window.  On top of that, there always seems to be someone having work done.  Today, our neighbor is getting new windows so they are banging and clanging (again, right outside her window).  I turn a little bit "mother bear" and want to go out and yell at these people, but I suppose it's reasonable for them to do their work during the day.  I just wish there was a way I could get them to stop disrupting my girl.

Keep your fingers crossed for us that this is the start of a lovely, consistent pattern of wonderful naps!!  And I hope I'm not jinxing anything by writing this!
