Yes, Rebecca just got her first prescription. We've suspected she had acid reflux for a while, and talked to the doc about it a few weeks ago. We followed all of his advice (elevate the mattress, keep her upright after a feeding for 30 minutes, burp her longer, etc.), but nothing seemed to help. Out of desparation, I followed the advice of other moms on the internet and put a tiny bit of rice cereal in each bottle. It helped! Yay! But, of course, that caused constipation (is she going to kill me some day for talking about her constipation with everyone?). So then, we started giving her a tiny bit of diluted prune juice to help with the constipation. Finally, I decided we needed to address the original issue...acid reflux.
So, we went to the doc a few days ago and Rebecca has been put on baby Zantac. Crazy. And we have to switch formulas again to one for acid reflux and see if it helps. It seems to be helping.
